Smurf Colored Cupcakes!
Hola Amigos,
You guys are the coolest! Tonight was the beginning of a new tradition-- reading conference talks and espousing rich doctrinally sound insights...:) Or as Camille put it "friend-a-monies"... or as Megan put it, "standing outside on the front porch in my underwear"- hey, wait a minute... those aren't insights. Are they?
Truthfully, it was great. We discussed Elder Oaks' talk entitled; "Good, Better, Best" (http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-775-38,00.html) from the October 2007 conference. It was a good discussion and I felt the spirit many times.
We talked about the Savior, we talked about truth, we talked about being good, and we organized some other uplifting activities for the end of the year. I have been blessed with great friends who have wonderful testimonies of the gospel and who want to share it.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who was there and who had something uplifting to say. Thank you to; Megan for talking about the importance of having family meals together, to Marie for talking about the importance of having the spirit in our lessons, to Camille for talking about striving to be good, to Jodi for speaking of family bonds, Breck for talking about loving your son and striving to be good, and to Scott for talking about implementing empathy. I learned something from all of you.
I learned a lot! What a blessing all of you are in my life! Thank you! I missed the ones that weren't able to come tonight! Until next month! :)
Goodnight,
Kris
